I sat down on the grass near the beach
And noticed a small brown mushroom
Not too far from where I sat down
Some of the grass carried flower like crowns
of short white hairs, all along their stalks
Not only the small brown mushroom
Enchanted with its exquisite beauty
But the grass itself had its own
Peculiar texture exuding attractiveness
The white beach was almost hiding the banded sea
Of brown and deep green turquoise taints
When a dark cloud moved quickly,
Blocking the astonishing sunlight from view
Everything became gray for awhile
A few rain drops hit my naked arms
But then the wonders of light won from the cloud
And shone the pastel miracle of bands again on the sea
