Value

Just saw this wonderful story in a video:

A professor stood in front of 200 students
He showed them a 50 euro bill
He asked: "who wants this bill?"
All students raised their hands.

Then he folded the bill 3 times
He unfolded it and it looked a bit damaged
He asked "who wants this bill?"
All 200 students wanted it

He then crumpled it with both hands
He un-crumpled it and it did not look good.
He asked "who wants this bill"
Still 200 students raised their hands.

Then he threw it on the ground and stepped on it
the bill was now not only crumpled but also dirty.
He asked "who wants this bill?"
All students raised their hand.

Then he went on saying.
you have learned a great lesson;
No matter how beaten up and how much the bill was stepped on
it retained its value and all of you still wanted it.

So is it with all of your lives, students
No matter how much life is beating you up
no matter how life seems to step on you
your value remains the same.

Be aware of that and you will always maintain
your sense of self worth and dignitiy
Remember, no matter how much life steps on you,
Your value remains the same.
