Grief

I could see the black silhouette of a grieving father, deeply slumped in a lazy chair. He had gone through weeks of darkness, his body, mind, heart and soul enveloped by thick hard layer of grief that was impermeable to any ray of light.feelings of desperation, absolute loss and remorse had dominated every minute of his waking hours and had disturbed his sleep.

But today he had found from, he didn’t know where, a certain strength that allowed to use all the energy that was left in his body and soul to cut through grief’s thick skin. He was still surrounded by shreds of darkness but through the wholes , he could clearly see the light that surrounded the spirit of his lost baby. He got glimpses of the colourful wisdom he was about to learn from going through the ordeal of the loss of a 30 day old sweetheart.

He knew that the tatters of grief and sadness were far to sticky to be left behind at once, but having seen the light and colors beyond it, he slowly gained more strength and his position in his chair became a bit less slumped
